Cecilia “Cecy” Davila
Peru 1945
Born in Peru in 1945, Cecy, whose full name is Cecilia Davila, studied at the National School of Fine Arts in Lima, receiving that school’s First Award in 1967. She then moved to New York with husband Carlos Davila, also an artist, and studied the art of printmaking at the Pratt Graphics Center. Her work appears in many private and public collections throughout the United States, Europe, and South America including: the Techno-Quinica Collection in Lima, the Paul Gorinstein Collection in Miraflores, the Eugenio Rau Collection in Santiago, Chile, and the private collection of Dr. P.R. Rothman, also of Lima.
