ABOUT THIS ARTWORK:
Giving us an aireal view of his favorite subject, Delacroix has created yet another cityscape that captures day to day life of everyday patrons. Unlike some of his other images this one only has one person out in the streets that we can see. This may have been an implication of some large event happening that everyone is in attendance at. Off into the distance we see a stadium possibly that is lit up artificially which could be where all the patrons are.
