John Steuart Curry Inscribed on Verso. Mural sketches include: "Along the Stairs", "The Squaters". This original pencil drawing shows several seperate images which were are studys for a future mural. We can see that Curry is trying to set up a scene and experimenting with the placement of the people within the frame.
