Gordon Hart was born in Glasglow, Scotland in 1940.
He studied from 1961 to 1964 in the Central School of Art, London where he received a MFA. In 1975 he received the National Endowment for the Arts Fellowship. He has been involved in over twenty exhibitions since 1964. In 1974 he had his first solo exhibition at the Bykert Gallery in New York, NY.
His works focus on color and texture while their titles allud to a deeper meaning.
He currently lives and works in Lyon, France.
