The American

Fine Art Limited has recently been chosen as the exclusive Fine Art sales representatives for THE AMERICAN - A MONUMENT OF COURAGE, a tribute to the American People. THE AMERICAN will be built 200 feet tall in America's Heartland and will be the largest free standing bronze monument in the world that visitors can enter and ascend to a viewing area.

Description

Picture the following cities: New York, St. Louis, Paris, San Francisco, and Washington, D.C. When one thinks of New York, the Statue of Liberty comes to mind. The same can be said of the Eiffel Tower for Paris, the Golden Gate Bridge for San Francisco, and the Arch for St. Louis. The American will soon join these symbolic landmarks.

Towering more than 21-stories, The American will be the tallest, freestanding bronze monument in the world that visitors can enter and ascend to a viewing area near the top. The monumental sculpture depicts an Indian brave standing with his right arm extended upward as a bald eagle lands on his shroud-covered forearm. The left arm, relaxed at his side, catches a blanket fallen from his shoulder.

Art of the Olympics

The official emblem of Beijing 2008 entitled "Chinese Seal-Dancing Beijing" cleverly combines the Chinese seal and the art of calligraphy with sporting features, transforming the elements into a human figure running forward and embracing triumph. The figure resembles the Chinese character "Jing", which stands for the name of the host city and represents a particularly significant Chinese style. The artwork embodies four messages:

- Chinese culture,
- the color of red China
- Beijing welcomes friends from all over the world
- to challenge the extreme and achieve the perfect and promote the Olympic motto of "Citius, Altius, Fortius (Faster, Higher, Stronger).
